If you'd like to spend a day on the river exploring various pools then I would recommend a float trip starting just below the dam at the head works. The trip by water is 14.9 km to camp at Painted Trak
Besides exploring every nook and cranny where fish may be hiding, be sure and bring your camera a long as the scenery is outstanding and forever changing
You'll have an excellent time fishing on the Waterton whether you are a fly fisherman or an angler
The floating Season on The Waterton starts in late June and lasts until early August, then the river levels drop off and the River is better suited to Walk & Wade Anglers
After the day is done you can enjoy the evening at camp discussing your "Fish Stories" around the fire
What a way to end a perfect day, watching one of many, beautiful Alberta sunsets before retiring for the evening
